The Vale London: Kips Bay Palm Beach 2024: 'Rejection of the Traditional Florida Style'
The Vale London Team recently had the pleasure of attending the Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach, a highlight event now in its seventh year, which commenced on the 23rd of February and will remain accessible to the public until the 17th of March 2024. Situated in the charming 'SoSo' neighbourhood of West Palm Beach at 230 Miramar Way, the Show House stands out as the premier design event of the year, whilst simultaneously serving as the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s most significant fundraising event and supporting the local Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.
In an exciting coincidence, The Vale London is in the midst of launching the new James Collection, which mirrors the stylistic trends observed at the Palm Beach Kips Bay Show House. Perfectly aligned with the current preferences of leading designers, the collection adopts a modern, geometric, and earth-toned neutral palette, marking a departure from The Vale's traditionally more organic designs.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the designers for their extraordinary creations and were particularly captivated by the shift away from the customary Palm Beach colour schemes of vibrant pinks and traditional greens and aquas. This year, many designers, including McCann Design Group, embraced a more subdued colour palette, evoking retro mid-century aesthetics with a contemporary twist, as showcased in their new modern showroom, Pure by Hive. Jonathan Savage's preference for more masculine shades and modern geometric patterns was exceptionally appealing, as was Marc Michaels' use of charcoal tones and subtle shimmer. The rooms managed to be both cosy and tropical, conjuring a Mad Men spin-off in Palm Beach atmosphere that we would eagerly watch.
